I've had some hits and misses when ordering pet stockings online. But this year I was really happy with my choice from Zanie's. I ordered this green stocking for my Siamese cat named Toby. He's pretty outgoing and will play with almost any toy placed in front of him. He's only a year old so he's still in that 'I gotta tackle everything!' phase. This collection was perfect for him.The stocking is made of a disposable plastic. I don't think it's meant to be reused. It's a bit smaller than a normal cloth stocking. It only measures about 7 inches long by 4 inches wide (at it's widest point). But for a cat I'd say that's about the right size. It's stuffed to the brim with twelve cat toys. All the toys are different, you don't receive doubles of anything. This is something that I found really neat. I also love that it comes in an array of green colors (there is also a red stocking- if you want to opt for that array). Inside Toby's green stocking he received:1 hanging stocking bell toy. It's a little green stuffed stocking toy connected to an elastic red rope that you can drag or tie to a surface. Your cat can tug, tackle, and play with the toy and the elastic string makes it bounce around- promoting longer play. There is a gold bell on the stocking as well. It's made of a felt material which my cat really likes because it can grip it with it's claws.1 caged bell toy. It's not a ball- more of a cylinder shape. This one doesn't roll very easily. It only rolls in a straight line so the cat can't really easily play with it by itself. But with human interaction it enjoys the toy.1 small rattle mouse toy. Toby is a mouse hunting machine and when he saw this little mouse toy with a tail and eyes he went straight for it. He loves throwing it around and bringing it over to 'show off his catch'. The rattle keeps him attacking too.1 small felt mouse toy. Once again he loves this toy. The felt material is easy for him to grip with his claws so he can attack it like crazy. He loves this toy.1 small green rattle football. This one is a bit odd. It's a small green plastic football with rattles inside. Not sure how it associates with Christmas aside from the fact that it coincides with football season? It also doesn't roll very well because of it's shape. Not my cat's favorite toy, but it is cute.1 mesh plastic rattle ball. This is just like the cheap ball cat toys you'd buy at your local pet store. It's a mesh caged plastic ball with a bell in the middle. Light-weight enough to easily be pushed across our carpeted floor. The cat loves it and can easily push it around by itself.1 red tinsel ball. This one is really unique. It's basically a ball of red tinsel. Sparkly and shiny and light-weight. The tinsel doesn't make it roll very easily, but the texture drives my cat crazy. He loves trying to bite it.1 green tinsel ball. This is exactly like the product I just talked about- except green in color.1 big stuffed heart toy. At first I thought this was a catnip toy- but it isn't. None of the toys in this set have catnip (which I appreciate- I'm not a huge fan of the stuff and find in unethical for cats). Basically this is just a stuffed heart. It's green and made of faux fur material. My cat doesn't play with it. It's a bit too big for him. But other cats may like it.1 green and red mini tennis ball. This is just a light-weight small tennis ball. It has the same material on the outside as a tennis ball does. My cat loves it because once again it's easy for it's claws to grip onto. We put it in a basket and he tries everything to get it back out again.1 green and silver rattle ball. This is the same size as the tennis ball. It's a green felt ball with silver tinsel-like material wrapped around it. There is a rattle in the middle. It's easy for Toby to push around and he likes attacking it. The noise also drives him crazy.and last, but not least, yet another stuffed mouse. This one is a bit larger than the other two but still as entertaining. It doesn't have a rattle, so my cat doesn't play with it as often as the other two. But it gets its fair share of pawing-at as well.Overall I loved this set. The toys were quality made and are holding up well. My cat loves them. The Christmas theme is oh-so-cute. And there is no catnip toys so I don't have to worry about monitoring my cat's behavior. Love this set and would definitely buy it again!
