The sound quality and volume control was far better than I expected. This was a birthday present for her (she loves music and singing). And I was a lil worried about the weight (kind of heavy), since she was turning 1 yrs old. But she had no problem holding it and singing her lil heart out. Her mom said she just ignored all her other birthday presents. I was so impressed with it... that I ordered one for her older sister (she's turning 11)... because she loved it too and said she wanted one for her birthday in July.Gave this to my daughter for Christmas. She loves it. She wanted the gold color. It's a bright gold on the mic and buttons, but the handle is more of a bronze-gold, not close to matching. So far it sounds okay. Blue tooth works well. The voice that gives alerts has a Chinese accent. The voice changing feature is fun. Overall a fun toy for any age.I bought two one for my 4 yr old and one for my 2 yr old granddaughters they love them. The 2 yr old is going to be a little singer she already knows all the words to songs that we play and sings them and changes her pitch like i show her it adorableI voice reader gets irritating.me encantaIt has several "voices" -- what I was wanting it for!
